ULHS teachers Bethany Norris and Josh Herrin took students Laila Foster, Fallyn Riney, Andrea Jordan, Hadley Chastain, Ethan Evans, Cason Waddell, and Grayson Seymour to Atlanta last week for the Georgia Youth Assembly Conference.
Over three days, these students stepped into the shoes of real legislators, researching issues, debating ideas, and working in committees to introduce, amend, and pass bills.
A special shoutout to junior Hadley Chastain, who successfully defended her bill, earned overwhelming support in the House of Representatives, and advanced it all the way to the Senate committee. Although it didn’t pass the final stage, we are incredibly proud of her dedication, courage, and hard work.
So proud of all our ULHS students for representing us with excellence!
